Tenuta Castello di Morcote

Tenuta Castello di Morcote extends over a vast promontory surrounded by Lake Ceresio: 150 hectares of unspoiled nature with a unique soil in Ticino, consisting of red porphyry, a rock of volcanic origin.

In the heart of the estate - in a panoramic position overlooking the lake - lies the 15th century castle. The winery, family-run since 1930, cultivates its own 7 hectares of vineyards with slopes of 30% in Morcote and manages other 6 hectares in the Mendrisiotto Region.

Viticulture is accurate, mainly manual. The vineyard is scrupulously worked in organic management, certified since 2017, and from 2020 the principles of biodynamics are also followed.

The winery's goal is to obtain grapes of the highest quality in order to create authentic wines as an expression of the terroir they come from.

The company's wines can be purchased directly on site. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

The winery holds wine tastings - including visit to vineyard, castle and wine cellar - from Wednesday to Saturday, at 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. Tastings take place by reservation only. For infos and reservations: tel. +41 91 996 12 30[email protected].
