Locanda Ticinese

Located in the heart of Bellinzona’s historic old town, the “Locanda Ticinese” welcomes its guests in a bright, fully renovated setting. Large windows overlooking Via Orico flood the space with natural light, while two dining rooms with a total capacity of around 40 seats offer a modern, minimalist design with great attention to detail.

White walls dominate the interior, enhanced by a fresco depicting Bellinzona’s medieval fortress, which highlights the wooden flooring and the pleasantly diffused lighting. The main dining room features six tables and can accommodate up to 24 guests. In addition to the bar area, there is a smaller room with a fireplace decorated with battlements recalling the city’s castles; this room can host up to 16 people and is also suitable for business meetings, thanks to a screen for videos and presentations.

The restaurant reflects the clear vision and principles of chef-owner Domenico Caputo. From a culinary perspective, the menu focuses on fresh fish, regularly changing and updated on a monthly basis. The chef’s passion and dedication to guest satisfaction also allow, upon request, the enjoyment of special fish varieties, always in line with seasonality and market availability. The wine list features carefully selected Champagnes, sparkling wines and wines, chosen with the aim of offering memorable dining experiences.

And for meat lovers? They will also find a selection of dishes prepared with passion and refined taste. Equally flavorful and varied are the vegetarian specialties. To conclude lunch or dinner, guests can choose from alpine or international cheeses, semifreddos, homemade desserts and sorbets.
