Il Magnifico Borgo

Il Magnifico Borgo is located in the Filanda of Mendrisio, near the historical centre. This shop, which mainly offers the public products derived from milk processing, is run by ProVaMMM Sagl, which is in turn formed by the association of the municipalities of Valli del Generoso, farmers in the valley and some private individuals.

The focus of the project is therefore on the Valle di Muggio cheeses, known and appreciated throughout Ticino for their typical aroma linked to the characteristic flora of the Valley and ancestral techniques, which ProVaMM tries to safeguard and enhance. But here you can also buy other local products such as miele di Monte and also the lake fish that the consortium procures weekly, fresh and processed. The Snack Box of the Grand Tour of Switzerland with a range of regional products is also on sale here.
