Jubilee Ticino Turismo
In 2022 Ticino Turismo will be 50 years old! We present some of the initiatives launched to celebrate this important anniversary: a dive into history with the book "Immagine Ticino" and an explosion of colours between past and present with the exhibition "Saluti dal Ticino".
Exhibition "Saluti dal Ticino"
Fifty posters depicting the beauty of the Southern Alps in a dialogue between past and present. The "Saluti dal Ticino" exhibition which travelled throughout the anniversary year to various scenic locations in Ticino and finally arrived at the Museum of Transport in Lucerne, recounted the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of the then Ticino Tourist Board (Ente Ticinese per il Turismo), today the Ticino Tourist Agency (Agenzia turistica ticinese SA).
In addition to 25 works created in various periods of the twentieth century, the exhibition also features 25 posters by contemporary artists.
These artists, selected by a panel of judges in early 2022, were able to freely choose the technique they used: from graphic design to illustration to painting.
And the result? A journey through the four regions of Ticino, from yesterday to today, to discover the deepest identity of our territory.
