The ticinese grappa, wich owes its origin to the distillate of
American grapes rich in the so-called «foxy» aroma, is much
appreciated for its characteristic aromatic varieties. Its minimum
alcoholic strength is around 45% volume, as is expected of the
quality brand. The distillation follows various phases from which
only 60% of the product will be used, representing the so-called
«heart». The «head» and the «tail» of the distillation, constitute less
noble products and are used for other purposes. The Ticinese
Grappa is much appreciated for these very characteristics, above
all in the Swiss market.
