The 'Keys to Culture' allow people to experience cultural heritage in a simpler and more accessible way. By means of a free App, it is possible to access historic buildings and cultural assets equipped with an electronic lock.
The territory of the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland is scattered with valuable historical buildings. However, from the historic centres to the most remote valleys and along the numerous historic routes, many cultural assets are difficult to access because they are locked and, in order to be visited, require organisation and planning which is not always possible.
Thanks to the 'Keys to Culture' it is possible to visit buildings at any time, independently and safely. This innovative system also ensures cultural mediation and makes it possible to make a donation to the visited monument.
In this first phase, the first two buildings that will be accessible thanks to 'Keys to Culture' are the Churches of San Nicolao and Santa Maria del Castello in Giornico.
