The Alpine Spaceship – An ideal starting point for hiking, ski touring and mountain biking in Ticino

Nestled in the scenic Val Corno in the Bedretto Valley, the Corno Gries SAC Mountain Hut is located at an altitude of 2,338 metres. The region, characterised by alpine lakes and glaciers, is ideal for hiking, family holidays, as well as ski and snowshoe activities.

In summer, the quickest way to reach the hut is from Alpe Cruina, following a well-marked and family-friendly trail that leads to the hut in less than one hour. In winter, the tour starts from All’Acqua and takes approximately three hours; access is only recommended for experienced ski tourers or with snowshoes.

The hut offers 8 rooms of various sizes, with a total of 46 beds. The panoramic dining room provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains. During the day, guests can enjoy a small but refined menu featuring Ticino specialities, along with a delicious buffet of homemade cakes.
