Inside the suggestive village of Scudellate, located in the Muggio valley, there is the new Ostello di Scudellate.
This historic structure, built in 1907 by the population of the upper Muggio valley, first served as a school and kindergarten and later as a Youth Hostel.
Today, after major renovations started in 2019, the new Scudellate Hostel has changed its appearance, thanks also to the construction of an outdoor terrace and the incorporation of the old grocery cooperativa.
The large common dormitory has left space for four rooms of different capacities and types, suitable to accommodate groups of friends, work colleagues, school groups, sports associations, couples and individual travelers; everyone will find the ideal solution for a fun stay away from urban centers.
The new management of the hostel aims to offer a meeting place for tourists and local people, where hospitality and quality are the basis of the experiences offered throughout the year.
The surrounding landscape is suitable for all lovers of nature, local food and wine. From here it is in fact possible to leave for various excursions on foot and by mountain bike between Switzerland and Italy. A dense network of trails allows you to admire the flora and fauna typical of the region.
The Osteria Manciana, located a few meters away, is happy to delight the guests of the hostel, starting from breakfast until dinner, with typical dishes and drinks of the region.

Technical features:
- In the hostel there are three common rooms for six people each with shared bathrooms and showers outside the room.
- There is also a private family room for four people with the possibility of having 2 extra beds, this room has a private bathroom and shower as well as a terrace overlooking the valley
All rooms have recently been refurbished, guests will not have to worry about bringing their own sheets or blankets as the beds are fully equipped. The room has wall lights, private lockable wardrobes, space to store your luggage, free Wi-Fii, extra blankets and a breathtaking view of the valley.
- For breakfasts, groups will be served at the hostel, while other guests can be received in the adjacent Osteria Manciana
