1. Monte San Salvatore: 360° view of Lake Lugano

Take the funicular railway and reach the summit of Monte San Salvatore in just a few minutes. The Vetta restaurant awaits you with its panoramic veranda and terrace for an aperitif with a breathtaking view just a stone's throw from the city of Lugano.

In the summer months, the funicular also operates in the evenings until 23.00.

2. At the foot of Monte San Giorgio: UNESCO World Heritage Site

A combination of a walk and an aperitif? The funicular railway from Brusino Arsizio will take you to Serpiano, where you can explore the Monte San Giorgio on foot. A magnificent view of the lake and Monte Generoso awaits you. And on the way back, what better than a sunset aperitif at the Ristorante Funivia Serpiano? 

In the summer months on Fridays and Saturdays, the cable car offers evening rides until 10.30 p.m.

3. Sass Malt: panorama of the Valle del Sole

Enjoy an aperitif and dinner with local products at the Sass Malt restaurant with its cosy, family atmosphere. The splendid outdoor terrace offers a view of the entire Blenio Valley.

The Malvaglia cable car can also be reserved for guests for dinner outside the usual timetables.

4. Cardada Cimetta: a wide view of Lake Maggiore

Enjoy an aperitif from the summit where you can admire the lowest point in Switzerland, in Lago Maggiore , and the highest point, Punta Dufour, located on the Monte Rosa mountain range.

Open all year round. In the summer months, the cable car operates daily until 7.45 p.m.

5. Monte Brè: where the sun shines the longest

Fancy an aperitif in the sunniest part of Switzerland? Take the funicular railway and let it take you to the top of Monte Brè. The Osteria Funicolare will allow you to enjoy a 180° view of the Gulf of Lugano while sipping your aperitif. 

On summer weekends, the funicular offers evening rides until 11 p.m.
