Rustico ai Monti

An idyllic quiet place, above Monte Ceneri, where you have a magnificent panoramic view of half of Ticino, simply breathtaking, from Biasca to Locarno. The rustico has two flats, this one is on the ground floor, renovated in 2018 and with a large green lawn in front. Parking 50m away.

The Rustico is comfortably furnished and can be booked from around mid-May to mid-October. Two gas radiators and a fireplace bring warmth to the living room, which has direct connection to the two bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed; a bathroom with shower, toilet, brünneli and large mirror (towelling and bed linen are provided). The living room offers a large dining table, an open and fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and gas oven, freezer, no dishwasher but a Nespresso machine. In the same room you can enjoy unforgettable moments in front of the fireplace (first firewood available). TV available but no WiFi (Swisscom 4G receivable). A small cellar with some storage space and the battery centre of the solar panels (which supply 220 volts).

The Rustico can only be booked on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival from 15h00 and departure until 10h00. Depending on the booking period, the rent is from CHF 945/week (incl. final cleaning at CHF 120). The price is all-inclusive for up to 4 persons (ideally 2 adults + 2 children). Visitor's tax per person and night from 14 years is not included (as of 2021: CHF 2.-/p.pers./night). Cancellation free of charge up to 14 days before date of arrival. After that 100% will be charged (payment by IBAN at least 10 days before date of arrival).

Calmagnone is only accessible by car; public transport only goes as far as Cadenazzo.

The Monti di Calmagnone area offers hiking trails over the Ceneri mountain to the Monti di Medeglia, in the Isone valley (served by public transport). The panoramic view is breathtaking, overlooking the entire Magadino plain from Biasca to Locarno. An idyllic, quiet green meadow in front of the rustico invites you to linger... a book... a good drop of Merlot.... la Dolcevita!. And if you want to do something, then take the car, drive about 10 min. to Cadenazzo (at the foot of Monte Ceneri) and from there you can go in all directions like: 10 min. to the valley station of Monte Tamaro with the Adventure-Park and the Splash&Spa, 10 min. to the shopping centres Migros, OBI, Coop, Manor, Aldi, Lidl, Interdiscount, Fust, Müller, etc. 20min. from the Unesco castles in Bellinzona, 20min. from the Piazza Grande in Locarno, 30min. from Ascona, 30min. from Lugano or 10min. from the minigolf in Quartino, and much more. An insider tip:... a meal at the Osteria Lafranchi, in the middle of Robasacco ... simply delicious! (also within walking distance approx. 20 min., open Wednesday to Sunday, August closed for holidays).
