Sensory path - Parco San Grato

The trail offers to all visitors a more careful and conscious way to explore nature, discovering forgotten sensations.

The path, conceived around an experience based on sensory and emotional contact with nature, can evoke strong feelings and perceptions, creating joy and great involvement.

A sensory oasis where it’s possible to discover our 5 senses, thanks the love and respect for nature. The path allows us to boost our balance, being in contact with natural materials throughout experimental game and fun.

First of all, the hearing: at certain times of the day the singing of birds becomes a real spontaneous concert for the joy of our ears. During the blooming of azaleas mollis, the scent will dampen our smell. The colors explosion will be a real surprise for your eyes, especially during the blooming period of the year.

Your taste will be teased by delicious dishes prepared in the restaurant of the Park, where it’s possible to enjoy the essences on this hill (mint, rosemary, thyme, mushrooms, Blueberries, etc).

Last, but not the least, the touch. Inspired from an old and natural habit we do have since childhood and that we love over all... walking barefoot. Walking barefoot gives the chance to our body and muscles to gently relax and get back to nature surroundings. To do that, you should take your time, relax and enjoy an intimate space where young children can be immersed in the scents, textures and colors of plants and related elements.

How does it work:
You are invited to leave your shoes on the platform hanging them to the special hang-shoes. The sensory stations of the path are conceived counterclockwise, and at the end, it’s possible to rinse your feet and relax for a new one adventure.

Warnings:
Children must be accompanied by an adult. The path is not suitable for people with limited mobility, and is accessible all year round (during the winter months the fountain may be closed). The path is not suitable in case of strong wind and thunderstorms.
