In Airolo you can experience the work on the second Gotthard motorway tunnel up close. You can visit the Infocentre individually or in groups, and there will be regular events related to the project.
Interesting information, unexpected experiences, varied entertainment - that's what the Gotthard Tunnel Information Centre offers. Find out how the Swiss Federal Roads Office FEDRO is building the tunnel and what it means for the region. In the infocentre you can find out what is involved in building a tunnel and who the people are who do it. Thanks to digital and virtual offerings, you can follow the work on the construction site up close.
Admission is free and without reservation. Reservations are recommended for groups of 10 and more. From August 2021, we will offer guided tours of the information centre for groups of 6 to 30 people. From 2022, the offer will be extended to include guided tours of the construction site. Groups wishing to visit the information centre outside of the booked guided tours can contact us.
