Golf Club Lugano, founded in 1923, offers an 18-holes course (PAR 70 - 5575 meters) situated in a beautiful pre-alpine landscape. The course is considered very technical and extremely demanding because of the many hazards and very narrow fairways, often confined by the rich vegetation and the river Magliasina which has to be crossed 8 times during a game.
A few kilometers from the City of Lugano and close to the airport of Agno, the course, which was originally designed by Architect Donald Harradine, has been developed on a nearly flat ground, among birches, oaks, spruces, rhododendrons and azaleas. Since 1992 significant modifications have been made under the supervision of the architect Cabell B. Robinson.
There are long holes for strong players and short holes which demand a very precise game. The greens are well defended by natural obstacles and well placed bunkers.
As Lake Lugano region is a popular tourist area with many visitors, we reccommend you to reserve a tee time both during the week as well as on weekends. The secretary is available.
Access only for members or the other Golf members with an EGA exact handicap low or equal of 36.0.
