Christmas lights in Lugano

From 1st December until Epiphany the city centre will once again be transformed into a bright village, filling the festive period with cheer for both locals and tourists alike, in full compliance with the safety regulations in force. The city will host the holiday loved most by families in a magical atmosphere, among Christmas lights and decorations.

It's not Christmas without the traditional Christmas market that will host the traditional wooden huts, from December 1 to 24. 

From 1 December children and adults will be able to admire the magnificent illuminated Christmas tree - the symbol of Christmas in the city - in Piazza della Riforma. There will also be entertainment proposals for everyone, such as musical appointments, theaters, narrations, film screenings, shows and digital activities to discover and rediscover Lugano.
While Parco Ciani will be transformed into an enchanted forest, with shimmering lights, wonderful decorations and Christmas lights.

From mid-December the fascination of the Underwater Crib will return, to be admired along the lake.

You can also take advantage of the extraordinary openings of the stores in the center in view of Christmas shopping. The stores will be open on 5th, 8th, 12th, 19th December from 10:00 to 18:00. 

Throughout the entire Christmas period, Lugano will become a culinary crossroads thanks to the variety of food on offer in local restaurants, several of which will be offering special menus for the holiday period.
