Ticino is located on the North-South axis and is therefore easily accessible by car.

From north in summer, it is also possible to reach Ticino via Gotthard, Nufenen and Lukmanier Alpine passes. Travelers arriving from eastern Switzerland, Bavaria and eastern Germany, traveling on the A13 highway, can choose the San Bernardino Pass.

From south the region is easily accessible from Milan via the A9 highway or from Varese via the A8 highway. Finally from west it is possible to pass through Simplon.
