The Mogno Colony, located in the upper part of the Lavizzara Valley in the district of Vallemaggia, was completely renovated in 2012 and is equipped with all the comforts to accommodate up to about 65 people.
Also suitable for people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility, it offers a specially equipped room with a barrier-free shower.
There is a large outdoor area with a soccer field equipped with goals. Table tennis and table soccer in the house.
The house is open from mid-March to mid-December.
The Lavizzara Valley is a side valley of the Maggia Valley. Perhaps one of the most authentic, special and romantic places in the whole of Ticino. In Brontallo, at the beginning of the valley, we find the terraces of the highest vineyard in the canton at an altitude of 700 m. Further up, in Peccia, are Switzerland's only marble quarry and a sculpture school. After a few hairpin bends, you reach Mogno and its world-famous church. Beyond the picturesque village of Fusio, moreover, is a walking trip to the lonely, tranquil Lake Mognola, small but among the most charming in Ticino.
