The over 300-year-old Ticino house Casa Antica, once the seat of the bailiffs, is located in the historic village center of Sornico (municipality of Lavizzara/Maggia Valley) in Ticino (Switzerland). This large house has a typical Ticino atmosphere: winding staircases, small and large rooms, an old fireplace, a soapstone stove and a large pizza oven, terrace, benches and tables. The surroundings are also typical of Ticino: sunbathing and splashing around in the nearby Maggia pools; meadows and rustic chestnut forests invite you to hike and explore; soapstone hunting and working under expert guidance; a variety of excursions. Shopping directly across in the village store La Botega where also can be placed orders. Accessible by public transport (SBB, FART, PostBus), the PostBus stop is 3 minutes from the house. The house is open all year round and can be rented in two versions: 1. whole house for 19 people from 3 nights, 2. house without attic for 6-12 people from 5 nights.
