Casa Studer

The living area of Casa Studer consists of of 2 floors. The first floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom (with washing machine), and a separate toilet. The bedrooms each have 2 to 4 beds, and one bedroom also has a child's crib.On the second floor is a living room with fireplace and picture window overlooking the village of Aurigeno and the Maggia valley, and also a very comfortable and practical kitchen/dining area, opening on to a balcony facing the mountain side of the property. The Casa Studer is located next to a forest and is a perfect starting point for many outdoor activities. Mountain trails lead down into the Maggia valley, or alternatively over the mountain into the next valley, the Onsernone valley. Beaches along the Maggia river are within easy walking distance. A waterfall about 500 meters from the house provides swimming and water play in summer. On rainy days, the fireplace in the living room, together with a very efficient infrared heating system, create a warm and cozy indoor environment for work and play. The Coop and Denner supermarkets, a bakery and a gas station in Maggia are five minutes by car. There are little stores also in the next village of Moghegno. You will find plenty of restaurants all over the valley. Movie theaters in Locarno and Ascona and the Teatro Dimitri in Versico are about 12 kilometers from the house. While conveniences of civilization are easily accessed, the peaceful village life of Aurigeno restores the soul stressed by day to day modern life. A telephone, broadband internet and satellite radio reception provide contact with the outside world. A CD/cassette player is available too. Accessible only by foot (50m).
