The town of Cevio is located in the middle of the impressive Maggia Valley, one of the most visited mountain valleys in northern Ticino and around half an hour's drive from the cities of Ascona and Locarno. Here the valley forks and leads west into the Valle di Campo and Bosco Gurin, while the main valley merges seamlessly into the Val Bavona and Val Lavizzara to the northeast.
