International Festival "Ponte del Canto" Cultural Exchange of Children's Voices

The enthusiasm and cultural resourcefulness that characterizes the Calicantus Singing School are once again evident with the annual "Ponte del Canto" International Festival.

The Festival is part of the Calicantus School's core objectives, which has been organizing this type of project in Ticino since 1995. "Songbridge" is a UNESCO concept and part of its musical programs aimed at promoting peace through singing and the encounter of two friendly choirs who share a comprehensive approach to music education and work on the meanings promoted by UNESCO.

The April cultural exchange takes on significant significance because the guest choir, the Severáček Choir from Liberec, Czech Republic, in addition to being a leading ensemble in Europe, was among the models that inspired Maestro Fontana back in 1993 when he founded Calicantus.

In collaboration with the SCAM Choir, admission is free, donations are welcome.
