Dance festival 2025

The world vibrates – tune in to the movement! Festa Danzante is a national event taking place simultaneously in 44 Swiss cities, offering the opportunity to discover dance in all its facets live and to actively participate in the various programs. Through performances, workshops, and shows, Festa Danzante invites audiences of all ages to immerse themselves in an extraordinary experience dedicated to movement and artistic expression. The common thread of the 21st edition is the national program Dance on Tour, which offers a selection of surprising dance performances on tour throughout the country. Thirteen companies have been selected, whose performances are previewed online. The flagship of the Poschiavo and Ticino program is a selection of co-productions involving cultural institutions and dance companies active in the area, presenting performances that are characterized by inclusiveness. Around twenty events will take place in seven towns in Italian-speaking Switzerland, featuring regional, national, and international companies. The Dance on Tour projects are particularly noteworthy. Four companies will be performing in Ligornetto, Chiasso, Lugano, and Poschiavo, captivating audiences with their extraordinary projects. The national program intertwines with the regional programming of the two cantons, which stand out for their complementary offerings. In Poschiavo, the 21st edition of Festa danzante in Graubünden is dedicated to inclusion. Special guest is the Bernese company BewegGrund (2022 Swiss Performing Arts Award) with the performance "Goodbye Stracciatella" (choreography by Tabea Martin) and a workshop open to families and all interested parties. In Ticino, Festa danzante stands out for its role as co-producer, strengthening its network with local cultural institutions.
