Caseifici aperti

Welcome to the Caseifici Aperti, the unique taste of Ticino cheese.

The much-loved event Caseifici Aperti returns in 2026 to celebrate its thirteenth edition, reaffirming its role as one of the most authentic and well-regarded events in the Ticino region.

On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026, local dairies and processing facilities will open their doors to the public, offering a unique opportunity to discover the art of cheese making and the everyday life of rural communities at first hand. Visitors will be able to follow the entire production process, from milking the animals to heating the milk, right through to the skilled and passionate work of cheesemakers who transform raw ingredients into high-quality, distinctive products.

The event is designed to be engaging and educational for all ages: adults can deepen their understanding of traditional food production, while children can explore the farm, observe animals up close and learn where the foods they eat every day come from.

The experience will be further enriched by live music, guided tastings, selections of local wines and stalls offering artisanal products, creating a welcoming and convivial atmosphere for a weekend dedicated to flavour, tradition and regional excellence.
