A double interactive exhibition for kids that wishes to explore the tree as protagonist of natural world and as a recurring subject in art history in a playful journey that involves all the senses and emotions.
The first part of the exhibition, entitled “The tree, from the small seed to the old branch” and created by Espace des inventions in Lausanne, answers through fun games some of the questions that children ask about the life of trees: how do they grow? What do the roots look like? How many stories does the section of a tree tell?
The second part, designed by Museo in Erba, is a journey to discover artists who have depicted trees, from ancient times to the present day. The stations allow visitors to discover that there are endless possibilities, techniques and tools for representing the same subject. The trail includes observation and listening games where kids can match sounds and emotions to trees, tactile stations where they can guess and touch the materials used by the artists, and a “creative corner” where everyone can experience the creative gesture firsthand.
