Swiss Mill Day - Calonico

Saturday 11 May 2024 is Swiss Mill Day at the Calonic Mill!

Programme of the day: from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. popular music, barbecue, drinks, cakes, coffee, flea market, jovial get-together, mill demonstration, children's mill and visit to the new wood-fired oven.

The Calonico mill is an important historical witness of culture and technology in Leventina. The association founded in 1989 aims to preserve and maintain the activity and operation of the mill for posterity.

Since 1994, the Calonian mill has been back in operation and is at the centre of the atmospheric Mulino festivities every year. The association with more than eighty members contributes to enriching the contact between the local population and holiday-makers from German-speaking Switzerland, whose ties with the place sometimes last for several decades.
