Swiss Identities - Meeting with Denise Tonella, Director of the Swiss National Museum

Denise Tonella grew up in Airolo. After studying history and cultural anthropology at the University of Basel, she continued her training in film directing and film production in Zurich and Munich. Since 2014, she has worked at the Swiss National Museum as curator and project leader of numerous exhibitions, before becoming its director in 2021. She regularly holds university courses and serves as an expert on various commissions.

With her, the topic of Swiss identities from a historical and anthropological perspective will be discussed in relation to the National Museum's activities and representations. It will also be an opportunity to draw parallels with the Leventina Museum and the concept of 'Leventine identity', which is put under the lens of the current permanent exhibition.

The public will be able to take part in the debate and will have the opportunity to interact directly with Denise Tonella, to learn more about her profile and discover some of the aspects of her work as director of the Swiss National Museum.

Free admission. An aperitif will be offered at the end.
