The Ticino Federation of Singing Societies is ready to celebrate its centenary in 2024 with a series of extraordinary events: for 100 years, 1000 voices for one Choir!
To mark this significant milestone, the Federazione Ticinese Società di Canto has planned a series of exciting events, which will take place in all regions of Ticino to
involve choral singing enthusiasts, musicians and culture lovers of all ages.
In addition, the highlight of the celebrations will be a cantonal event that will bring together all the choral singing societies in the prestigious setting of Bellinzona from 20 to 22 September 2024. This unrepeatable event will be a unique opportunity to celebrate together the power, strength and beauty of choral music, while at the same time strengthening the unity and collaboration between the choirs and the entire community. More than 1,000 choristers from over 50 federated choirs will converge on the capital. All choirs and singers not affiliated to the Federation are also invited to this event: this fantastic moment of celebration is truly for everyone!
In this evening of music, more than 1,000 people accompanied by an orchestra will sing together in a magical location, tracing the history of choral music with the pieces that everyone knows. The public will also be invited to sing along!
