The Bibliomedia of Italian-speaking Switzerland and the Swiss Society of Music Pedagogy - Italian-speaking section - offer the "Festival della lirica".
he usual autumn series of three concerts dedicated to the art of bel canto is enriched this year with a fourth event, consisting of a lecture by Professor Guido Petrojetta (former lecturer at the University of Fribourg). Concert dates: Tuesday, November 5, Tuesday, November 12, Tuesday, November 19, and Tuesday, November 26.
Opera music is an art form with very ancient origins through which singers and musicians perform their works based on dramatic stories, combining text and musical score. Even today, this musical expression still attracts a great deal of interest, especially among fans of the genre. Opera incorporates many of the elements of theatre, such as acting, set design, costumes and sometimes even dance.
The festival benefits from the participation of tenor Mauro Bonomi, artistic director of the 'Maria Amadini' International Opera Singing Competition.
