The Ticino Federation of Singing Societies is ready to celebrate its centenary in 2024 with a series of extraordinary events: for 100 years, 1000 voices for one Choir!
To mark this significant milestone, the Federazione Ticinese Società di Canto has planned a series of exciting events, which will take place in all regions of Ticino to
involve choral singing enthusiasts, musicians and culture lovers of all ages.
The calendar of festivities includes five regional events to be held in different locations throughout the Canton, each of which will represent a moment of encounter and sharing between the various choral singing societies. These regional events will provide the opportunity for everyone to be enriched by interesting musical lectures and workshops, to enjoy excellent music with prestigious guest choirs, to meet with choirs and to establish meaningful connections with other participants.
On 23-24 March 2024, it will be the turn of the Bellinzona and Valleys Region to welcome the choral world.
Itinerant singing
This is an opportunity for choirs from the Leventina, Riviera, Blenio and Mesolcina valleys to meet, with the participation of the Castelgrande choir, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. They will make stops along the bus routes, proposing some pieces. In the late afternoon there will be concerts by the Singfrauen of Winthertur and the La Rupe choir. At the end a communal dinner and celebration.
