LongLake Festival 2021

The 11th edition of the LongLake Festival will offer 111 days of festival for a host of diverse events, with international and national guests, scattered between Piazza Manzoni, Parco Ciani with its beloved Boschetto, the Agora external space of the LAC, Piazzetta San Carlo and other places in the city thanks to the offerings of museums, beaches and institutions.

For those who want to return to experience the culture and pleasure of a live show, there are many creative encounters that will surprise and engage the public. A rich program, starting with music of all genres, which will be given ample space, including established artists and young talents, both from the Swiss and international music scene. These include the LAC en plein air festival, which will host evening events in collaboration with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, LuganoMusica and the Art Museum of Italian Switzerland. While two special weekends, where anything can happen, will see street artists livening up the city with their original shows. There will also be events dedicated to families, with offerings for all ages and ranging from musical events, readings, theatrical performances, film screenings and workshops of different kinds. Among the many artistic proposals is Urban Art, inviting you to discover city views with new eyes thanks to the creation of various wall designs, installations and artistic contributions. For those who want their emotions starlit, a vast program of films will be offered with local entities. The theatrical performances, on the other hand, will see stimulating artistic offerings with household and guest companies.

In the Belvedere area, at the Lugano Bella temporary shop, you can find objects and works by Ticino designers and creatives, while on Saturday evening the lakefront will host the market with typical food and wine products and handicrafts. Finally, the Foce del Cassarate with its welcoming street furniture and the urban beach of Riva Albertolli will be meeting points throughout the Lugano summer.

The festival wants to offer its visitors entertainment and culture which can be experienced in safety; in full compliance with the security measures issued by the Confederation. In addition, for some events the booking system of the my.lugano.ch platform will be available.
