Osignano, a district of Sigirino, is part of the Federal Inventory of Swiss Sites of National Importance (ISOS). It enchants with its characteristic village centre. Osignano nestles on a wooded hill and is surrounded by wide green spaces.
Rustic stone houses, so typical of Ticino villages, line the narrow streets and give character to this small village at the foot of Mount Tamaro. The cobblestones set the pace as you walk through the secluded village with its well-preserved rural architecture.
Some of the buildings are rather modest and were mainly used for rural life, but there are also stately historic houses in the upper part of the village.
