Tita Carloni

Tita Carloni

Born in Rovio in 1931, he studied architecture in Zurich and was an important architect, teacher and politician.

In 1956 he opened his own studio in Lugano with Luigi Camenisch. He collaborated with architects including Max Bill for the National Exposition in Lausanne (1964) and Mario Botta on the Federal Polytechnic of Lausanne (1970).

His work includes Balmelli House in Rovio, terraced houses in Balerna, Hotel Milano in Mendrisio and the Züst Picture Gallery in Rancate.
