My name is Gabriella Monfredini Rigiani; I grew up in Melide, a small and picturesque village on the shore of the lake Lugano where the close and spontaneous contact with the waters from a very young age was inspiring. I had a play-full childhood consisting of swimming and fishing in the lake. My mother showed me the firsts steps of fishing. Once I reached the age to have my own boat, I began my life on the waters of the lake exploring and gaining knowledge of my surroundings. After my studies in tourism & hotel school, I had the pleasure of being the tour guide for the "Grande giro del lago" of the Società Navigazione Lago di Lugano. I have always identified my self with the lakeside and its special energy and I am very proud of being able to share the beautiful landscape, its fascinating nature and the interesting ethnography with you.
