Tessiner Zeitung, the only German-speaking newspaper in Ticino, offers weekly news articles on social, political, cultural, and economic topics concerning the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The primary goal of Tessiner Zeitung is to serve as a cultural bridge between the southern and northern sides of the Alps, addressing in particular German-speaking residents and tourists interested in getting to better know and understand Ticino.
The newspaper is structured into two main sections. The first one focuses on local news coverage. The second is entirely dedicated to leisure activities, featuring hiking suggestions and gastronomic, musical, and artistic recommendations designed to look beyond the surface and discover the most authentic Ticino.
In addition to the print edition, published every Friday in anticipation of the weekend, a convenient digital edition (E-paper) is also available and can always be accessed via the website or the dedicated app.
