Market in Piazza Grande - Locarno

The Piazza Grande is filled with stalls selling all kinds of products. What is very particular and characteristic are the stalls that sell local handmade crafted products: fabrics, products in wool, ceramics and wooden objects. Ticinian gastronomy can also be found at the market, like our farmers' fresh cheese, eggs, fruit and vegetables. Vendors who offer second hand merchandise, like disks, books, music tapes and clothing can also be found.

Notice: The market scheduled for Thursday, 18 June 2026, has been cancelled due to the Tour de Suisse – Stage 2 Locarno event.

Thursday, from 9.00 to 17.00 (January and February from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., November and December from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in Piazza Grande.
