Follow the Leventina Valley as far as Airolo, and then turn left into the Bedretto Valley. After the municipality of Ronco, you come to All'Acqua, at an altitude of 1614 m.
From here, the path leads to Laghetto delle Pigne (2278 m), passing the new Piansecco Hut (1980 m). Once at the small lake, it is possible to return to All'Acqua by taking another path. You descend to Ciurei di mezzo (2028 m), continue to Alpe di Cruina (2003 m), and reach Paltano (1877 m). From here, one leads to All'Acqua.
Up to the Laghetto delle Pigne, you walk 664 m in altitude difference, taking a maximum of two hours. The equipment required is that usual for the mountains, and the difficulties of the trail are insignificant. The Capanna Piansecco offers overnight accommodation and is an interesting starting point for numerous hikes and climbs. The best known is the one that leads up to the Passo Rotondo hut and the associated Pizzo.
