Germanionico

Germanionico is an ancient village located in the Malvaglia Valley, considered a settlement of national importance on the list of Swiss settlements to be protected (ISOS). Located between two nearby springs, the village center consists of 17 buildings, mostly made of wood, which have been preserved over the years exhibiting limited modifications. For centuries the village was inhabited by farmers, some permanent residents, who were dedicated to farming (especially potatoes and rye) and raising livestock (cattle, goats and sheep).

A redevelopment project is currently under way: 7 cottages have already been restored and in 2022 work will begin on another 5.
