A project becomes reality! After two years of restoration, the Fornaci (Kilns) of Riva San Vitale have come back to life and opened their doors to the public.
The renovation has preserved the original character of the site, where clay sourced from the surrounding area was once used to produce bricks, while creating a vibrant and lively new environment: a cultural and educational centre dedicated to ceramics and related arts, promoted by the Le Fornaci Foundation and the Municipality of Riva San Vitale.
The Le Fornaci Foundation was established to enhance the historic kiln complex of Riva San Vitale, transforming it into a centre of excellence for ceramics and the allied arts. With a focus on culture, economy and tourism, the Foundation promotes projects that weave together tradition and innovation, creating opportunities for artists, artisans and professionals in the field.
Through local and international collaborations, the Foundation supports training programmes, exhibitions and initiatives that keep the legacy of the Fornaci alive. Guided by a public-interest, non-profit mission, its goal is to revive a unique heritage and project it into the future.
