A garden of flowers and butterflies brings colour to the heart of Bellinzona thanks to a street art installation by artist Yuri Catania.

The staircase connecting Via Molo to Viale Stazione, near Cinema Forum, has been transformed into a charming urban garden thanks to Bellinzona Secret Garden, an art installation created by Yuri Catania with the involvement of the local community.

The artwork covers an area of approximately 600 square metres and consists of over 10,000 paper elements depicting flowers and butterflies of various sizes. A total of 1,300 pupils from the city's primary schools and more than 1,000 volunteers took part in its creation, bringing to life a collective project that combines art, creativity and community participation.

Made from biodegradable materials, the installation is an ephemeral artwork, designed to gradually change and disappear over time due to weather conditions and people passing through.

An opportunity to discover Bellinzona from a different perspective and be amazed by the colours and beauty of street art.
