The hut was renovated in 2008/2009, with new isolated stone walled and roof.
It consists of a main building with kitchen, bathrooms and dormitories and 6 other buildings. One of these also serves as a dormitory, another as a warehouse, one as a shower and toilet and one is a museum in which tools used in the past in alpine rural life are on display.
The Cornavosa hut is a stop on the Via Alta della Verzasca and a starting point for numerous excursions to the splendid peaks and alps of the Lavertezzo Valleys.
