Alpe Caviano is located in the Patriziato area at an altitude of 970m on the southern side of the Monte Generoso massif. District of Castel San Pietro, Mendrisiotto, lower Ticino, Switzerland.
After the hospice of the Gran San Bernardo Pass, it is the most southern alpine refuge in Switzerland.
The existing structure in plastered stones was maintained during the transformation, as well as the roof that after renovation and isolation was covered with tiles as originally.
Drinking water is available from the municipal network, instantaneous hot water via an automatic gas boiler, electricity 220V/380V. No telephone connection, GSM reception (low) a few meters to the road.
Small pantry for drinks and long-term consumer goods, external service to avoid going up to the first floor to passing guests.
