Alpe Caviano is located in the Patriziato area at an altitude of 970m on the southern side of the Monte Generoso massif. District of Castel San Pietro, Mendrisiotto, lower Ticino, Switzerland.
The Alpe di Caviano Hut, owned by the Patriziato of Castel San Pietro , can be reached on foot from Castel San Pietro or by descending from the Bellavista on Monte Generoso.
All around the large there are only meadows and woods and the immersion in nature in this secluded, yet close place is total.The panorama that can be enjoyed from the large terrace is unforgettable and extends as far as the Alps, allowing the eye to catch incredible details, even in the Po Valley.
