Spruga - Saléi - Comologno

Challenging hiking trail in the upper Onsernone Valley, leading through a rugged and typical alpine landscape.

The starting point is Spruga from where the trail leads uphill, passing through small clusters of Rustici (rural houses) named Tabid and Pian Secco. Once arrived at the alpe Pesced you begin walking along the Munzelüm, a mountain from where you can enjoy a breath taking panoramic view. Beneath its slopes, between heap of stones, meadows and rhododendrons, lies the alpine lake of Salei (5'000 m2), ideal to take a refreshing bath in hot summer days.

By following the descending path you reach the Alpe Salei hut and further downhill the path leads you to Comologno, mostly through the forest and passing the Piani della Galera, the Val Lavandina e Ligünc.
