Voices Without Borders "Between the Lake and the Stars"

The Coro Alto Ticino (CAT) was founded in 2021 by Claudio Sartore, accordion and piano teacher and choir director, who inspired and engaged a group of friends in this new experience.

They are five sopranos, five contraltos, two tenors, and three basses, most with choir experience, some skilled musicians, united by a passion for singing and a desire to progress under the expert direction of this "tested" maestro.

Folk and dialect songs, light music, classical and sacred literature, songs from all over the world... a varied and colorful repertoire for this vocal group that meets regularly in Lodrino for the pleasure of singing together and with the goal of offering concerts and emotions to the local community.

Guest Choir
The SCAM Choir of Giornico is a male choir from Leventina, founded in 1963 inside the Monteforno steelworks. Founded as the Monteforno Company Choir, it retained the acronym SCAM even after the factory closed, becoming the Mountain Friends Choir. Today, directed by Maestro Andrea Cupia, it represents a very important musical and cultural entity for the Leventina area: it combines tradition, friendship, and a passion for singing, performing primarily mountain, folk, and Alpine songs, but also exploring avenues open to interaction with other musical genres. With its motto "Singing to live and feel good together," the choir continues to preserve the memory of the region and bring its music to Ticino and beyond.
