Saturday 11th June 

Saturday Market - Historical Centre


07.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In the historic town centre, colourful stalls offer visitors the best local products, seasonal delicacies, delicatessen specialities, tasty cheese from the valleys and excellent bread from Ticino.


10 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Simcha Ben concert as part of the Aus der Welt Festival

Inside the market on Piazza Collegiata

A numerically unstable and musically nomadic formation, constantly travelling between music from Eastern Europe and Western sounds. On the occasion of its 7th edition it will take to the streets of Bellinzona, from its marketplace up to Castelgrande, with songs, dances and fairy tales from distant worlds to deliver them to the modern deliver them to the modern listener renewed in their powerful joyful charge.


11 a.m. - Guided tour of Bellinzona's Old Town and Castelgrande

From 3 p.m. - Musical walk with the Music School of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana - Town Hall courtyard (Aula magna in case of bad weather)

The Musical Walk with the Music School of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana wants to be a moment of musical sharing and discovery under the banner of the encounter between young and old and different  styles of music. Concerts and musical moments for wind and percussion instruments will enliven the afternoon.

 

Castelgrande

3.30 p.m. - A Fairy Tale at the Castle! The Eye of the Dragon

The houses, close to each other, embrace to protect themselves from the weather.

Flower-filled balconies overlooking the square. On one side 'La bottega della Maria' and on the other 'Ul Bar del Gino'. A village perched on a hilltop, where it is nice to live. But you can do more... From 6 years of age free of charge and without registration in the castle courtyard.

Ticinese Food and Wine Review - Historical Centre

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the historic centre of Bellinzona, on the occasion of the Heritage Days a special gastronomic market will also be held on Sunday with a focus on local products. Stalls and lots of fun throughout the historic centre of Bellinzona. In addition, Ticino brewers present their craft beers.

2 p.m. - Archaeology Workshop - Leponzi Plots and Interweavings

With Emanuela Guerra Ferretti, cultural mediator of the Ticino Archaeological Association (AAT). Activities for children and young people to discover the Leponti and some aspects of daily life

of this Alpine population that lived in our territory between the end of the 2nd millennium and the 1st century BC.
