Cello star Sol Gabetta returns to Lugano in 2024. She will be at the LAC in mid-May for the third edi-tion of the Pentecost "Presenza" Festival. The big project sees her starring on 17 and 18 May in two spectacular symphonic concerts featuring Prokof'ev, Sibelius and Šostakovic, together with the Or-chestra della Svizzera italiana, OSI principal conductor Markus Poschner, and the imaginative violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja. There will also be the world premiere of a piece by Kopatchinskaja (PatKop) specially commissioned by the OSI.
