Women's voices for peace: Historical female figures who were peace activists are summoned to the stage: Jane Addams, Virginia Woolf, Rosa Luxemburg and Joyce Lussu. Finally, a modern-day Swiss woman, who ideally represents all women in Switzerland. She looks with concern to the future of her children, in a context of war not far from our borders. Women, in the words of Jane Addams, know better than men the value of life. At a time when we feel the need to talk about peace, let us try to piece together the rich fabric of these women's ideas and actions and weave it back together with the thread of history.
