Gransegreto Experience

A journey on board the restaurant carriages of the Prestige Continental Express vintage train to discover the prestigious Gransegreto wine, aged in the evocative Forte Airolo at 1329 metres above sea level.

The experience is guided by the sommeliers of Valsangiacomo Vini of Mendrisio, who accompany passengers to discover the different vintages of this iconic Ticino wine.

Upon arrival in Airolo, you will travel by bus to the Forte Airolo for a guided tour first of the Forte Airolo Museum and then to the Gransegreto refinement cellar. 

Outward journey

• Departure from Lugano station at 16.28 and arrival in Airolo at 18.02
• Tasting accompanied by a rich aperitif

Return journey

• Departure from Airolo station at 20.06 and arrival in Lugano at 22.10
• Tasting accompanied by braised beef dinner with side dish, dessert, mineral water, coffee and digestif
