Swiss Theatre Days

For four days from 23 to 26 May 2024, the canton of Ticino will be transformed into a grand stage for the 11th edition of the Swiss Theatre Days.

In collaboration with its partner theatres LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, Teatro Foce and Teatro Sociale Bellinzona, the festival will present the SÉLECTION – six theatre productions that stand out due to the relevance of their themes, their originality and their aesthetic or political content – as well as a diverse supporting programme on Ticino’s cultural policy issues. The festival also offers a platform for audiences, professionals and artists to meet, discuss and exchange ideas across language boundaries.

The Swiss Theatre Days is one of the promotional partners of the Swiss Performing Arts Awards conferred by the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) and provides a platform for the award-winning theatre groups in its programme.
