1st August celebrations in Lugano.
The celebration of National Day is a very important event for the people of Lugano and represents a unifying moment of reflection.

-06:00 am: City centre; reveille with the Tamburini Luganesi-10:15 am: Piazza della Riforma; meeting of the authorities in the Patio of Palazzo Civico and parade
-10:30 am: Piazza Indipendenza; wreath laying at the Independence Monument
-11:00 am: Patio of Palazzo Civico; concert Castagnola Philharmonic Orchestra
-06:00 pm: Piazza Manzoni; Lüganiga Band
-08:30 pm: Via Nassa; meeting of Authorities and City Associations
-08:45 pm: Via Nassa; parade of Authorities and Town Associations
-09:15 pm: Piazza della Riforma; allocution on 1st August
-10:30 pm: Gulf of Lugano; big fireworks show
