Spada della Rocca - Medieval entertainment

The courtyards of Castelgrande will once again host the traditional event "Spada nella rocca," which is part of the "Medieval entertainment at the Bellinzona Fortress" programme.

A costume festival with period sets and artists, craftsmen at work, concerts under the stars, games, historical re-enactments, armigers, and flag-wavers. The clang of swords, the glint of shields and helmets, colourful costumes, and flags fluttering in the wind. The "Spada nella rocca" is all this and much more.

Programme

• 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. - Children's show Teatro Auriga with Vladimir & Olga
• 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. - Madame Violante tells stories
• 14.00 and 16.30 - Sudalp Group Medieval fighting demonstration
• 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. - Show with medieval jousting horses
